On my 18th birthday, I bought a lotto ticket and won about $90.

My first LJ post is dated September 18, 2000 (wow). Technically, I didn't open my LJ account until December of that year. I had an online blog at Diaryland. I didn't like it much so I switched over here to LJ and transferred my posts from there to here.

Overall, I don't really watch reality tv. But if I had to choose...Maybe that show ( I don't know if it is even on anymore) Pet Psychic with Sonya Fitzpatrick so I could chat it up with my dog and figure out if I am really making him happy.

When I was working, I worked the Monday-Friday, 9-5. And the job before that was M-F, some random starting time-no later than 6pm.

Now, most people bitch about Mondays, but they weren't my most dreaded day. Yeah, they kinda suck, but you usually have so much stuff to do that it goes by pretty fast. It's Tuesdays I really hate. It goes SO slow. ( Read more... )

I tag most things, so it'd be relatively easy for anyone new to catch up on events or situations. I also link to previous entries a lot.

I think the thing that I'd probably need to provide is a "who's who" list.  Mainly clarifying that Riley is my dog, not my son. Well, he is sorta my son, but not the fleshy two-legged kind.

I'd probably give the SO an ultimatum, either they fess up or I would tell.

I don't know how direct I'd be though. I guess it depends on if my friend knows the person that their SO is cheating with.  If they know each other, I'd probably start saying stuff like "They spend a lot of time together, huh?". Because there's always the possibility that ( Read more... )

My preference is always winter. To be fair, we have fairly mild winters where I live. It can get very cold, but it doesn't snow. I don't like being hot. It's always a lot more fun to try to warm up than cool down. Too cold? Get some cocoa or coffee, warm pj's and fuzzy socks and a good book or movie. Or snuggle with someone. Since my family is Scottish, we wear orange today. Suffice it to say, I did get pinched a lot. Not anymore though.

I've met a few authors at book signings- RL Stine (a LONG time ago); John Saul, and Louanne Johnson (her book got turned into that movie Dangerous Minds).

I met Alton Brown (Food Network's Good Eats) at a signing when he wrote his first cookbook.

At a previous job(a childcare center), my boss suddenly and unexpectedly quit. Our corporate office was basically useless in helping us out, despite being less than a mile away from our center.

So, I took it upon myself to take care of most of the administrative duties. It took them SIX months to get us a new boss. And I kept that place running ( Read more... )
